Our goal: 50,000 NEPSE investors in year one
We are building LaganiLabs for the long haul. Here is why we believe 50,000 active investors is an achievable milestone — and what it would mean for Nepal's capital markets.
Aarav Shrestha
Founder, LaganiLabs
When we started LaganiLabs in a small apartment in Kathmandu, our goal was simple: make it less painful to apply to IPOs on NEPSE. As we prepare for launch, we have set ourselves an ambitious milestone — 50,000 active investors in our first year. Here is why we believe it is achievable.
Why 50,000?
Nepal has over 5 million registered NEPSE investors. IPO season sees millions of applications submitted through MeroShare every month. The pain of manually applying across multiple accounts is universal — and no app has solved it well yet. We believe LaganiLabs can reach 50,000 users simply by being the best tool for a problem that affects every serious investor.
LaganiLabs is built and maintained by a small team of Nepali engineers and designers who are also NEPSE investors ourselves.
How we plan to get there
Our go-to-market strategy is simple: build something so useful that investors share it with their families. The bulk apply feature alone saves hours every IPO season. When one person in a family discovers it, the whole family signs up — because they all have MeroShare accounts that need managing.
- Word of mouth through WhatsApp investor groups
- Organic reach via NEPSE Facebook communities
- Referral program rewarding users who invite others
- Presence on ShareSansar, Merolagani, and NEPSE forums
What it would mean for Nepal
50,000 active users would make LaganiLabs one of the most-used fintech tools in Nepal. More importantly, it would mean 50,000 investors applying to IPOs more efficiently, tracking their portfolios more clearly, and making better-informed decisions. That is the outcome we are building toward.
